The 68RFE is a transmission that we specialize here at Tiger Transmissions. Along with all the parts listed above there's more upgrades we do. One of the most common failures we see on these 68RFE Transmissions is overdrive Clutches wiped out. From the factory Chrysler tells us to set the clearance at 30-63 Thousandths. We like to get it as tight as possible without creating any drag. 29 thousandths is what we shoot for.

Another problem with overdrive is in the stock valvebody. The Stock 68RFE Valve Body has Cross-leaks. The main cross-leak in these units are in the overdrive hydraulic circuit. We Take care of that issue by installing the Revmax Billet ZeroFlex Valve Body.

The 2nd most common problem we see is torque converter failure. The TTC Limit Valve can cause Lockup failure when it wears out in the bore. Sonnax makes the Perfect valve setup and we replace this on every unit!

We Are a transmission shop here in Lebanon Tennessee and we've seen a lot of different issues with the 68RFE. Every so often we see the pins on the Input planet start walking out and rubbing making alot of metal. That why we Tig Weld them in place on every planet as shown on the pictures.

We make sure the Transmission is built according to how you used it. The price of this transmission is 6900 and this does include the torque converter. This does not include Shipping or Core Charge. We would rather Do the install here at our shop but if your too far away we can give you shipping quote along with a 2000 core charge. These cores are expensive and hard to find.
